Dream Antique Collection

One of the first steps in designing candles is sourcing a unique and high quality vessel. Depending on the style, vessels can account for up to 30% of the cost to make a candle!
When Gloria, Owner of The Art of Cake, presented us with tea cups from her fine bone china collection, we immediately got inspired and started sampling. What is interesting about bone china is the material is highly durable and resistant to heat, making it a perfect candle vessel!
To elevate their signature candle, we referenced The Art of Cake's custom wedding cake design and incorporated a gold flake finish. Gloria prefers the floral scent profile so we use a crushed flower technique with colours like pink, blue, and purple to complement the tea cup. After a solid 12+ hour burn, the candle wax can be discarded and a vintage tea cup is added to the collection!
We highly recommend visiting The Art of Cake for their sweets or making a reservation for their high tea - a must experience for tea lovers!

Our first prototype had a beautiful finish but we found it hindered the even burn.
